That said, state dental insurance usually does not cover root canals except on front teeth, so many patients with these plans still choose to come to us. Most dental insurance plans cover two exams and 2D X-rays per year at 100%, so your first visit is often fully covered. If you have used both exams, your insurance still applies its discounted contracted rate.
